Coach Chris Bennett 

Chris grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he began wrestling at the age of five. As a junior in high school, he earned a third place finish in Class 4A at the Oklahoma State Championship. During his senior year, Chris won the Class 4A Oklahoma State Championship at 135 lbs and was also selected to be a member of the Oklahoma All-State Wrestling Team. His high school achievements gained the attention of the United States Air Force Academy where he attended and wrestled from 1999-2003. During his time at the Academy, Chris won two third place finishes for the 141 lbs weight class at the Mountain West Conference Championships. Following his time as a four-year letter winner at the Air Force Academy, Chris earned a spot on the All Air Force wrestling team and ultimately won second at the 2004 Armed Force Championships in freestyle. Although Chris stopped wrestling competitively after 19 years, he continues to show his dedication for the sport as a wrestling coach and mentor. Chris has coached competitive wrestling, and served as a mentor for wrestlers, in multiple states to include Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. While still living in Shawnee, he was hired by his hometown high school as an assistant coach. He then served as a volunteer coach at each of his subsequent Air Force duty locations to include Enid, Oklahoma and Little Rock, Arkansas. While in Little Rock, Chris played a critical role in growing the sport of wrestling from only a few high school wrestling teams across the state to over thirty teams in three years.

Chris served on active duty with the United States Air Force until separating in 2012. While on active duty, he held numerous positions including C-130 pilot/Aircraft Commander and T-1 Instructor Pilot both stateside and during multiple deployments. He continues to serve his country as a T-1 Instructor Pilot for the Air Force Reserves at Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Basic Sciences from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Arts in Management from American Military University. Chris and his wife Heather have called San Antonio their home since 2009. In 2013, they welcomed a third addition to their family with the birth of their son Ezekiel who is named after Zeke Jones (one of the best lightweight wrestlers in U.S. history).



Coach Logan Fleegle (will be leaving us before the end of the year) 
Logan is from Boswell, Pennsylvania, where he wrestled for North Star High School and played football for the Cougars. His most recent achievement as a Wrestler include being selected for the All Air Force Greco Roman and Freestyle Teams, where he trained with 2008 Olympic Coach Estrella. As a Wrestler, he began wrestling at the age of seven and wrestled for a total of 7 years for Rob Waller’s All-American Wrestling Club. His youth wrestling achievements include the following: All-American Status as a Sophomore in High School; 2x PIAA District 5 AA Champion and 3x Medalist, 2004 Blue & Gray National Champion ,4th at MAWA East Coast Nationals, 5th at PAWF Freestyle State tournament, 3x PIAA Southwest Regional Qualifier, a Member of Two North Star Dual Teams placing 6th and 8th at PIAA AA State Team Duals; selected to the CBS All Star and WESTPAC All Conference Teams. As an Athlete Logan was a Running Back and Linebacker for a North Star Football Team that won its first District title and made an appearance in the PIAA State playoffs. Logan went on to received a Wrestling Scholarship with JUCO Standout Lassen College where he posted an 18-5 mark as a starter for the CCAA League Champion Cougars. Logan Fleegle is currently enlisted in the United States Air Force and is an Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran by serving in Afghanistan.
